What career is right for me?
MITQ Careers Team provides advice, mentoring opportunities, career related events, student supports with placements and opportunities. We help our students to become informed and self-reliant individuals who are able to plan and manage their own careers.
Our Careers Team offers students and graduates the opportunity to attend careers events, be involved in mentoring schemes and helps them in finding an internship or job that’s just right. We will be organising regular workshops and events with local and international expertise.
MITQ is currently devising a career network with the help of British recruitment agencies to support our students and alumni for at least two years after completing a course with us. We also support students who are interested in setting up their own businesses as entrepreneur or starting out as a freelancer.
The type of course a student choose to study will determine the type of experience that he/she will gain while studying at MITQ. Some courses give students the opportunity to engage in short-term accredited work experience while others give the option to do a placement and be employed by an employer upon successful completion. Short term work experience aims to help students develop an appreciation of the culture and practice of the workplace, in order to contextualise academic studies into perspective whilst developing transferable skills. MITQ Careers will support students with basic career employability skills. Our students will be able to build employability skills, deepen academic knowledge and sector-specific skills, build workplace experience and gain an insight into a career path by developing industry networks.
Our alumni are important to us. Whether our students are graduated this year or next 20 years ago, we want them to be a part of our alumni community. We want to hear their stories, connect them to their old classmates and continue our relationship with them no matter where in the world they are. Remember, all MITQ alumni belong to the wider TQUK Alumni community, which has over 150,000 members.
